Today we . . .

focused on the word "balance" - steady with the mind and body as we breathe and move.  

read a book called "The Giving Tree"  by Shel Silverstein - no matter what the situation may bring us, it's important to remain balanced and centered with our mind and body.   

practiced various actions to maintain balance - balance on one foot, hop on one foot, elevate our arms and reach for the stars.

learned various growing poses to help practice balancing the mind and body - bird, butterfly, fish, flower, happy baby, and tree (session 1).  

focused on balancing our tree poses.  

relaxed in the do-nothing pose with our breathing buddies (session 2).

shared his/her favorite growing pose with their fellow yoginis during the feedback session (session 1).  

shared thoughts of his/her breathing buddies during the feedback session (session 2).

and acknowledged our gratitude - "Namaste" - I shine my light in you as you shine your light in me!
