introduced the feeling meter and discussed our feelings throughout the session using the meter to determine our feelings for each experience.
engaged in a breathing exercise while moving our finger up and down the breathing board - inhale our finger moves up the mountain; exhale our finger moves down the mountain.
discussed the true meaning of yoga - yoga is everything we do and say - yoga is life - we will practice different yoga poses, engage in breathing exercises, dance, play games, sing, chant, read books, show our creativity and most of all express our joy for being part of this community.
listened to a book called “Be Who You Are” by Todd Parr to develop an understanding on who we are compared to our environment and other humans who surround us.
practiced and learned 6 different yoga poses - stomp like an elephant; stand like a flamingo, hop like a bunny; waddle like a duck; squat like a frog; crawl like a crab;
engaged in a game called - “I do. We do.” - children took turns rolling a die and practiced one of the yoga poses and other children copied the child’s version of the yoga pose.

engaged in a breathing technique called “feather breathing” - breathe in through the nose and blow gently and softly at the feather.
