Today we . . .

continued to understand the meaning of "mindfulness" - to be in the moment - right here - right now.  

practiced being mindful by chanting "Sa Ta Na Ma" as we touched each finger with our thumb or tapped our hands on our laps - little yogi's choice.  

played a guessing game - what's in the bag? - 3 rules - feel it, shake it & listen. 

listened to the sounds of tingsha bells - "If you hear my chime, it's quiet time."  When the tingsha bells rang, the children automatically focused their attention to the sound of the bell (mindfulness).  

engaged in a sun salutation - stretch up high, hang down low, stretch up high, hands to heart center (repeated 3 times).

relaxed with our breathing buddies during savasana (do nothing pose).

and acknowledged our gratitude - "Namaste" - I shine my light in you as you shine your light in me!
